2025 dump pt. 3 || sep-dec
taking everything i was learning throughout the year (and perhaps the buildup of stress), i finally did some things i had been putting off for the longest time
i learned to prioritize my peace and reserve my energy for the people and things that actually mattered — those where my energy is repurposed and returned, rather than used up and unappreciated
went on more solo getaways again, and shifted more of my focus on the studio. admittedly, i do use strategies i learn at work for that hehe gotta be resourceful
*highlights for this period:
- attended a bishop ordination!
- educated myself on local politics (no longer passive at least)
- conducting drawing workshops now!
- sketchbook project! pasilyo gallery!
- unashamed of using my VLs
- ended the year actually proud of things i achieved
2025 dump pt. 2 || may-aug
for this part of the year, i worked on my own branding: who am i? what parts do i play in the little communities i'm in? how can i (and the studio) exist in the bigger pictures while still keeping the essence of our little bubble?
this was when i really started pushing for the studio to be ready, i wanted everything set for the anniversary and my brain had made a timeline of events hahaha
i really do love my job and my career path right now, and i think don't feel burnt out yet because i apply it to such varying situations that i'm always learning something new
*highlights for this period:
- slowly stepped back into the art world
- got more involved (at work, at Escolta, with the store)
- built healthier habits! (di na abuso sa ride-hailing or food delivery apps, and consistent sa journaling)
- pilates for the first time! (but might stick to gym for financial reasons)
- turned 28 quietly
2025 dump pt. 1 || jan-apr
it's nice to look back on the year and reflect on everything — to see how far you've come and how much has changed
i started 2025 with a lot of events that required social interaction haha but i think the quiet journal sessions in between events helped balance that out (and help me recover some sanity lol)
p.s. was excited to use the "post to profile" feature but apparently it's been removed lol made sure to pick good songs nalang para worth yung intrusion sa feed niyo hahaha
*highlights for this period:
- officially have an art studio!
- walking tours around Malate & Poblacion (i love history)
- wanderland!
- spent so much time at intramuros (again, i love history)
- my cat touched grass for the first time
quick elyu dump + thoughts i had that weekend from my journal 🐍

side note, elyu is slowly overtaking baguio for me. i can't help but remember my childhood in SG when I'm there.
We held the second edition of our Still Life Drawing Workshop last Saturday, Dec. 13, facilitated by @agnesdj
It was a cozy afternoon of sketching shadows and textures to resemble familiar objects. It's also a good exercise in mindfulness and spatial awareness.
We often miss a lot of details as we go forward with our fast-paced lives. 'Still life' reminds us to take a few moments to look and really see what we have in front of us.

october 2025 dump
- too many things happened, didn't wanna leave any of it out
- it was a lot of good, a lot of sad, and a lot of niceness in between
- overall, tired. just tired.
Snapshots from our Still Life Drawing Workshop last Sunday, facilitated by @agnesdj
Thank you to all who supported the activity and shared our excitement! It was such a chill and intimate Sunday with you guys 😊 For those who couldn't make it, don't worry! This is just the first of a series of drawing workshops (and mini art history lectures) to be hosted at our studio!
