Three years ago, we walked through ours.
We moved here to calm our nervous systems so they could breathe. So our kids could grow up inside nature’s beauty instead of looking at it through a screen.
What I didn’t fully anticipate was how much it would shape the vision for @atlasdaughtersjourneys - that raising children who feel genuinely responsible for this planet requires that they first feel connected to it. Deeply, physically, daily.
You can’t teach global responsibility from a distance.
(Yes, I added an arrow. If you squint you may be able to see where we call home. We are small. The natural world around us is very large. And that feels about right.)
