Guster was feeling great at the NASA Companion Dog Association trial at Dog Gone Fun Agility. He was running 4.725 yps avg. It's been a while since we've ran at that speed and it felt great!
Guster had a perfect Day at NASA AKC trial at Dog Gone Fun Agilty. We earned a 1st place in both Premier JWW and Premier STD. We got 2nd in FAST. We got a QQ in regular STD and JWW in a stacked 12” class!
Guster had an amazing trial at Top Dog this weekend. Gus went 6 for 7 and the only error was my own as I stepped over the line in FAST. Gus ran great and saved my butt a few times this weekend!
I usually skim Tim Ferriss’s newsletter to figure out how to achieve, you know, “peak performance, etc., etc.” but yesterday I discovered the Westminster agility dogs have a lot to reveal about optimal performance, too…
I mean: these canine athletes have impressive pre-competition rituals that I could 100% implement more of in my own life. There were downward dogs. Positive affirmations. Dogs and humans really hyping each other up. Treats. Play. Positivity. Focus. So much focus!!
It’s, of course, all very inspiring and admirable. Thank you, dogs. Can’t wait to learn more tomorrow! @westminsterkennelclub

This is our Jumpers with Weaves Run. Second run of the day. Gus ran his tail off and took a spill in the ring but recovered quickly and didn’t miss a beat. Will make sure he gets a massage when we get home.
