🌱AGH SHOP SPRING SHOWCASE: @stickerhardlyknowher Katie Gorrie is a Hamilton-born-and-raised artist working in both acrylic and digital media. Her acrylic paintings explore themes of mental health and neurodivergence through bright, saturated colours and a bold, graphic style. She frequently uses the imagery of eyes to express the feeling of being under constant observation: an experience familiar to many neurodivergent individuals. Her vivid colour palette mirrors the intensity of emotion and thought, making her work impossible to ignore. In addition to her painting practice, Katie runs a small art business where she sells her own designs as prints, stickers, and other handmade goods. While the business has its own playful identity, it’s rooted in the same values of visibility, humour, and mental health awareness that inform her fine art. This is the LAST weekend to come by the @agh_shop to explore its inaugural Spring Showcase! On through May 3rd, the showcase spotlights prints and original artwork under $250 from over 15 Hamilton-based artists.

🌱AGH SHOP SPRING SHOWCASE: @maisie.beee “My name is Maisie (he/they) and I love to create femme worlds that cater to disability and madness. I am a painter and crafter in the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas, where I make multimedia pieces that surrender to love and serve love. I have artistic visions of love that soothe and nurture women and femmes by dismantling what is beautiful while participating in joy. My art is pink and gooey, soft and rough, always with femme science in mind. Femme science is a concept designed by Kim Katrin Milan, to honour the craft, knowledge, and technologies created and passed down in femme spaces. Painting, for me, is a way of surrendering to the work of envisioning liberation as a natural and beautiful present and future that we can create together.” Find “Septum Party” from Maisie at the @agh_shop for its inaugural Spring Showcase! On now through May 3rd, the showcase spotlights prints and original artwork under $250 from over 15 Hamilton-based artists.
