"I tried very hard in that moment to just think of it as a being, as a part of this natural, beautiful tapestry of life." @janegoodallinst in conversation with @daxdasilva for ICONS.

In an unaired video filmed during her final journey to Africa, Jane Goodall reflects on a lifetime of groundbreaking conservation work and the urgency of individual action in a world facing immense environmental challenges. Sitting in a lush landscape in Arusha, Tanzania, she shares one of her final public messages: a simple but powerful call to “just do something” and start locally to create change. The conversation with friend, conservationist, and philanthropist @daxdasilva offers an intimate look at her legacy, her clarity in her final months, and her enduring hope for the future. Watch the full video to hear Jane Goodall’s final reflections in her own words, and read the full article, at the link in our bio. đŸŽ„: @malaika.pictures #getoutside #janegoodall #africa #justdosomething"

“What do you think it will take to navigate the challenges our world is currently facing? How do we get out on the other side of this?” To that question, Dax answered, “I wish for the spiritual revolution!” “I think that we’ve had the industrial revolution, we’ve had the technological revolution, and those have served us to a point. But we’ve lost our anchor. We’ve lost our connection to the sacredness of life. To move forward, we have to recognize that every living thing has a differently mapped intelligence and a right to exist. When we start treating nature as a sacred partner rather than a resource to be extracted, that’s when the real healing begins. That is the revolution we are waiting for.” What do you think? Are we ready for the spiritual revolution? Don’t miss this incredible interview between @AnneThereseGennari and @DaxDasilva on Hey Change — tune in wherever you listen to podcasts! 🎧

As soon as I opened Echos from Eden, I had a hard time putting it down, and I began longing for bedtime so I could keep reading. I felt a deep sense of connection, and in that, there was
hope. Like, can we actually do this? Echoes from Eden is a beautiful compilation of stories from @daxdasilva ’s many travels to the frontlines of restoration, projects that he himself supports with his non-profit @AgeofUnion . But the book feels like so much more than a travelogue. It’s a love story—and one that will completely change how you view our time here on Earth. We’re so used to hearing the stories of ecological collapse and our warming, dying planet. And although those are true, Dax offers direct insight into the many stories unfolding around the world of the true, active hope that can bring us back to stability – and should say connection, meaning, and sanity.  Our conversation on Hey Change is about these travels and some of the lessons that came through in his work, both on the ground and in writing the book. We talk about the “Eagle and the Condor” prophecy, the power of small acts to create lasting legacies, and how to stay a climate optimist in a resource-intensive world. It’s a gem worth saving, and so is the book! Find episode 113 on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcast, or wherever you listen to shows — search for “Hey Change” Echoes from Eden is available for purchase online and in stores — all proceeds go to the @janegoodallinst The book was coauthored by @DaxDasilva and @EricHendrikx — thank you both for this gift to the world! 🌳

Have you ever heard of a lemur census? In the forests of Madagascar, counting lemurs is a vital tool to help protect Critically Endangered species. Findings from local Malagasy partner, Association des Guides Andasibe, have confirmed that habitat quality determines lemur population health. In a study supported by @ageofunion and @rewild , Malagasy researchers counted lemurs in the Mahatsara Forest, where 13 different lemur species are found—including Indri, Diademed Sifaka, and Black-and-white Ruffed Lemurs. This intact ecosystem currently sustains larger lemur populations and is an example of successful community-led conservation. Association des Guides Andasibe works to restore degraded habitats, monitor lemurs, and educate local communities on the importance of healthy ecosystems. Together, all three organizations are dedicated to ensuring that all lemurs are accounted for and protected!

In Trinidad, protecting endangered leatherback turtles depends on consistent monitoring during nesting season. Traditional methods, while essential, are often limited by time, resources, and environmental conditions. Today, we highlight how advancements in technology are reshaping conservation in marine environments. Through its partnership with @natureseekerstt , Age of Union is supporting this work with a $1.5 million commitment over five years, helping expand on-the-ground protection while integrating technologies like GPS tracking and drone surveillance.

In his new book Junglekeeper: What It Takes to Change the World, @paulrosolie pulls back the curtain on the reality behind real boots-on-the-ground work: conflict, pressure, and decisions that carry weight. Dax Dasilva, founder of Age of Union, has worked closely with Paul and Junglekeepers to help grow the organization into what it is today. We’re proud of what they’ve built together over the past few years. The book is out now, go get your copy!
