Funny how life comes full circle.
Many, MANY years ago, I graduated from
@mountviewlondon and, in our second set of final-year shows, I played the lead role of ‘Bill Kelly’ in ‘Steel Pier’; choreographed by the legendary
@cressida.carre . Not long after finishing the show, I signed with a dream agent.
Tonight, I’m heading back to watch the first Mountview production of ‘Steel Pier’ since ours all those years ago… and it also happens to be their Closing Night.
Even more incredibly, this production is being directed and choreographed by none other than Cress herself.
What makes it all feel even stranger is that I’m going this time as an Agent, after signing one of this year’s most exciting graduates of all colleges, Adriana Da Cunha (
@adrianadacunha_01 ).
I genuinely don’t know whether I’m more excited or nervous, because I know the emotions are gonna come flooding back. But I can’t wait to see what Cress and this brilliant group of graduates (a few of whom I’ve been lucky enough to meet already) have done with the show.
And finally, for emotional support, I’m bringing one of my oldest and best friends, Charlotte Harwood, who I met during Freshers’ Week all those years ago. Hilariously, Charlotte played the other lead, Rita Racine🤣 Bill & Rita are coming home.
Absolutely surreal 🤣 Here are some memories of the show and rehearsals etc
