Here are some external & internal photos of an aged care refurbishment project we did for Aurrum Aged Care a few years ago in Brunswick, an inner suburb close to the city of Melbourne, Victoria. This was an existing nursing home that was completely refurbished by Aged Care Developments, inside and out. This refurbishment is a great example of what could be done on a limited budget, utilising the knowledge and expertise of our designers, consultants and our regular group of tradespeople and suppliers.

Previous ACD completed project: Bentons Lodge, Mornington.
This project was a 90 bed, two storey extension joining onto an existing single level aged care home. This extension was constructed back in 2018 – 19. The facility is owned and operated by one of our very regular and valued aged care clients, being Autumn Aged Care. The 4 photos attached detail the extent of the build and the various external building claddings that were used. External features like banks of solar panels to assist with electricity consumption, screened plant platforms camouflaging AC units, colourbond roof sheeting, skylights and feature and rendered brickwork are all displayed in these images. Bentons Lodge is another great example of an aged care project that Aged Care Developments were proud to have designed and built and been associated with. @autumnagedcare

Past Project: Genu, SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) project in McCrae on the Mornington Peninsula constructed by Aged Care Developments in 2021.
This project provided us with a lot of similarities that you would find in a residential aged care facility but condensed into a much smaller building package.
The project saw the construction of a purpose built, SDA home with spacious bedrooms and shared ensuite bathrooms constructed on a sloping site which provided a small undercroft carpark area at the front of the building.
The house includes a lift that transports residents from the lower ground level to the upper living and bedroom areas. A roofed front balcony area with views across to Port Phillip bay provides a great external living area that can be enjoyed by the residents especially during the warmer months.
This was an extremely satisfying development for ACD to be involved with, as it provided us with a wonderful opportunity to create a very special home with spacious living areas for young adults living with a disability.

Triple M Plastering Pty Ltd was first established in 1986. And Triple M Plastering ( VIC ) in 2000. They are a family owned and operated company, specialising in plaster and acoustic ceilings, metal stud bulkheads and partitions and all commercial and industrial plastering. They currently have 10 staff members and have completed projects ranging from small office and shop fitouts, to multi-story buildings, schools, aged care facilities and hospitals. They pride themselves on the quality of their work.
The photos featured highlight the accuracy and skill displayed by Triple M plastering at a Retirement Living Facility recently completed in Capel Sound on the Mornington Peninsula.

Meet Jesse Selby-Hele, Aged Care Developments MD and Construction Manager, Jesse has been in these dual roles for the past 2 years.
Some history... Jesse has worked his way up through the ranks. In 2006 Jesse started his working life as an apprentice carpenter, working and learning the building fundamentals around aged care and general residential construction. Jesse was a member of a regular contract carpentry outfit that worked on a number of new aged care projects that ACD constructed during this time. Jesse went onto become a director of his own carpentry company that undertook full carpentry packages for ACD on their aged care projects, before taking up a full time position as a site supervisor & project manager with ACD. Jesse is now a Registered Builder in his own right, gaining his commercial builders registration under the class of CB-L.
The transition into his current roles at ACD has been very measured with adequate time and valuable building experience learned along the way. Moving forward, Aged Care Developments is in good hands.

Completed Project: Village Glen Apartments at Capel Sound
These time lapse photos are of the Village Glen Apartments at Capel Sound, completed by Aged Care Developments a couple of years ago.
This project differed from our usual aged care (nursing home) type projects, as it consisted of an apartment building for senior citizens set in a well-established retirement village.
The project saw the construction of sixteen (16) luxury apartments over 2 levels, constructed over a lower level undercover carpark.
This was an exciting development for ACD as it differed quite substantially from our usual aged care specific projects.
The new building abutted to one end of the existing serviced apartment building on the site.
Other features of the new building included, a multi-purpose congregation area complete with an elevated stage, this part of the building could be used for large social gatherings or special events.
Other spaces included a large Dining room, a 30 person Cinema Room and of course the sixteen (16) one & two bedroom luxury apartments, complete with individual external balconies.
