The truth is, I nearly forgot to celebrate this. In fact, I wasn’t even going to make a post about it. I was so caught up in the busy day to day and focused on where I was going next, that I forgot to take a moment to appreciate where I’ve come from. There’s a version of me from five years ago who would be so proud of the life I’ve built today. That’s the person I needed to pause for. To stop and remember how sh*t things once were and how, although not without its challenges, life has become insanely amazing since then. Yes, I’m still working my butt off every day. Yes, I still juggle two jobs and a full-time business. Yes, some days I want to scream and cry. Some days I still find myself questioning everything. But as a whole, it is a privilege to feel the pressures that come from building something worth getting out of bed for. It’s a privilege to wake up healthy, to work hard, to make a positive impact and to help others do the same. I’m lucky to have the support and the people around me who build me up and support my ridiculous ambition. What a privilege it is to even have the choice to take risks, to explore what’s possible, and to back yourself in the pursuit of more. Not everyone gets to do that. Not everyone has the support or the space to do this. It is not something to be taken for granted. There’s someone out there who would look at a version of your life and pray that one day it could be theirs. This article shares not only the practical manifestation techniques you can use to get where you want to go, but it also serves as a reminder: if you don’t push yourself, if you don’t step into the highest version of you, you’ll never actually get there. One day, you could be miserable and stuck in a life you hate. And then one day, you could wake up featured in a national magazine as an expert in what you do. You are limitless, if you choose to be. Someone once told me that in life… You can try and do everything on your own or you can ask for help from those around you. Both will hopefully get you the outcome you want. But one of them just takes A LOT longer and will probably cost you more as you make countless mistakes. Doing it without help means you’ve not only got to find extra time and money but you also need to find extra motivation. You have to drive the ship blindly all by yourself. Possible but overwhelming and not for everyone. Which is why most people quit or don’t start at all. The other option still requires money and still requires motivation but it will get you there much faster and it guarantees to be a much more enjoyable learning experience. You do not have to go through life as the expert in everything, especially something new. Ask for help from someone who knows better, pay for speed and results and then sit back and marvel in how far you’ve actually come in a short period of time. Further then you would have ever done on your own. You hire a PT for your body so why is your life’s purpose or mission any different? This post outlines all the ways you can currently work with me. If you would like to find out more about what advice I would give you, so you can start making some moves towards a small business venture or career change, then comment START on this post. I will personally DM you to chat about your situation and tell you what I would do if I was you! This is not a dress rehearsal hun, this is it! #businesscoach #smallbusinesscoach #sidehustle #careercoach #startnow #dreams #inspiration #coaching #facilitation #lgbtqia #free #freeresources #speaker #melbourne #melbournecoach #melbournebusinessowners

No one warned me that one of the biggest changes when starting a business wouldn’t be learning the business strategy or getting the clients. It would be the isolation. When you’re in your 30s and worked your whole life, you are used to the team members, the managers, the chats on your commute, even the person who makes your coffee at your local. However as a solo entrepreneur, all of that contact with the rest of the world reduces down significantly. For some of us it disappears altogether. The people closest to you, your parents, your partner, your best friends, they love you but they often don’t understand what is actually involved. They don’t get the mental tenacity it takes to build something from zero. It’s not their fault, they just can’t fully relate, because they’re not in it. A few years ago one of my best friends Megan and I decided to start our own separate business journeys at a similar time. In the beginning when I didn’t have many ā€œbusiness friendsā€ yet, knowing that someone else actually got it in a similar way was such a special thing to have. It wasn’t just about the company. It was knowing that all the thoughts and feelings I was having were also being thought and felt by someone who genuinely understood. If you’re at the start of this and you’re feeling the isolation right now, this is your reminder to start to build your ā€œbusiness friends networkā€ as best you can. All you really need at least one person in your corner who actually gets it. Slide into someone’s DMs. Reply to someone’s story. Go to the event. Have the awkward first coffee. Your future business self will thank you for it. My other lesson here is JUST BLOODY DO IT. Four years ago Megan and I never in our wildest dreams thought we’d be sitting in my living room as founders of our own businesses. Send this to one of your business friends to let them know you love being on this journey with them. šŸ¤

Every single time we leave our comfort zone, our brains will try and bring us back in. It’s literally neuroscience. What’s not neuroscience is the fact that we always have a choice to continue in that moment, even when it feels like we don’t. That is self-belief. Welcome back to PART 3 of my 30 Days to Launch series. Be sure to go back and watch Part 1 and 2 linked in this video. When I think about this even more I also need to remember to be proud of myself for even trying. Even if it was overly ambitious to take that on, on top of my current workload, if I don’t hit the deadline, I will be happy that I gave it all I’ve got. Because guess what, the world will keep spinning if you hit your goal in 32 or 35 days instead of 30. WHO FKN CARES! Go absolutely shoot your shot! Tough times don’t last, only tough people last. šŸ«¶šŸ»

PART 2 - 30 DAYS TO LAUNCH šŸš€ šŸŽ™ļø Welcome back to part 2 of my new series where I am sharing and documenting the process of creating and launching a podcast in under 30 days! šŸ˜…šŸ˜… we are 24 days out!!! Truthfully this isn’t my first podcast, so I do have previous experience in the production side so I know what to do and I also have a space in my existing office/content studio. SO…. I decided to launch this as a DIY project instead of investing in using expensive ā€œdone for youā€ podcast production studios. If you have the budget absolutely I would recommend using a third-party for convenience and consistency, however I am looking to keep the overheads for the show down especially until it can grow and monetise later. So it’s much cheaper for me to outlay now rather than paying for a studio monthly. Below is a list of all of the items and the brand should you want to save this post for future incase you ever need to launch your own one day! Incase you have no idea what I am talking about - go and check out PART 1 which is linked here. Day 7 tomorrow let’s goooo šŸš€ 2 x @rodemic NT USB Mics @djcity_australia 2x @rodemic Boom Arms @djcity_australia 2 x Newer Panel Lights @neewer 2 x Arm chairs @templeandwebster Side table @bunnings Lamp @temu Rug @amazonaustralia Curtains @airtasker New Laptop @apple Production Consultation @justinzaldarriaga.films Distribution Agent Fee @acast

Would you like lies with that? šŸŸ If I had a dollar for every time I heard one of these excuses from new business owners...l’d probably be posting this from my yacht in Italy šŸ‡®šŸ‡¹ instead of this crowded tram during Melbourne’s rush hour 🄲 The truth is get it! I used to think the exact same way when was starting out in the big crazy world of entrepreneurship. It’s easy to fall into the traps. But after nearly 4 years of running a business solely set out to help other businesses and working with over 50 different business owners from different industries ... I can confirm that I know what I’m talking about šŸ¤“ If you are ready to stop believing and following the wrong business rules and want to get fully booked in the next 6 months then today is your lucky day! I’ve got a few spots left on my 1-1 partnership šŸ¤ program where I work side by side you in your business, every day for 6 months! Talk about BESTIES! šŸ‘Æ DM me the word ā€œDREAMā€ for a free conversation about how I can help you smash your business goals and build a business you are truly proud of! šŸš€

So here we are… welcome to 30 DAYS TO LAUNCH! A series where I take you behind the scenes on the good, the bad and the ugly on what it takes to launch on podcast in less then 30 days. I have had this idea for the podcast in my head for nearly 2 years now and I couldn’t bare to create another excuse and let another month go by of me not working on it. It has been KILLING ME… so here we are. In the public eye where there is no where to hide and a deadline to meet. I’ve done no pre work on this at all. Today was day one! June 1st the deadline. Will I make it? Let’s find out together shall we šŸ˜…šŸ˜…šŸ„¹šŸ„¹šŸ«¶šŸ»šŸ«¶šŸ»šŸ¤šŸ¤

Niching down feels like you’re closing doors and leaving money on the table. And I get it, in the early days you want to make all the money you can and build that client base! That is so fair! However closing the ā€œdoorsā€ is actually It’s actually the thing that finally opens the right ā€œwindowsā€. I get it, when you’re new in business, saying no to anyone feels mad. Every enquiry could be the one. Every opportunity might lead somewhere. So you stay broad, keep your offer flexible, and try to be a bit of everything to everyone. But here’s what I’ve watched slow down more new business owners than anything else… That ā€œopen to everyoneā€ approach is the exact reason you’re staying stuck for way longer than you need to be. When your offer, your content, your messaging, your marketing, when all of it is too broad, nothing actually lands. You think you’re speaking to everyone. You’re really speaking to no one. The fastest way to get fully booked is to get specific. Properly specific. Pick a lane that actually feels like you, your direction, your experience, the thing that only you can bring to the table because you have lived through it. SPOILER - Your dream client is usually you, about five years ago. So have a think about it. Who was she? What was she struggling with? What did she really want? What would’ve made her stop scrolling and go ā€œoh, this is for me.ā€ That’s the level of specific you need to be operating at. That’s when your marketing starts hitting. That’s when your offer starts converting. That’s when the right people start finding you instead of you chasing anyone with two legs and a heartbeat. Being a specialist will always, always beat being a generalist. Because if no one feels like you’re speaking directly to them, they’re never going to feel moved enough to do anything about it. Follow for more advice on how to grow like this and save this for the next time you’re tempted to dilute your message! —— Business owner, new business, social media marketing, side hustle
