AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School

On Friday, March 13th, we had the distinct honor of welcoming President of AGBU Sam Simonian, Honorary President Berge Setrakian, members of the Council of Trustees, Central Board, AGBU MDS Board of Trustees, former board members & educators, and distinguished guests for a special visit commemorating our school’s 50th anniversary. Our guests spent the afternoon immersed in the spirit of the AGBU MDS community. The day began with a heartwarming assembly, followed by a campus tour, including a look at our newly acquired Vanowen Shopping Center, reflecting our continued growth and vision for the future. One of the most memorable moments of the visit was a stop at the Artemis Nazarian Preschool, where our youngest Titans charmed our guests with a joyful and spirited performance. Student chaperones then guided our visitors through the Manoogian Simone Center, formerly known as the Collaborative Learning Center (CLC), offering a firsthand look at the remarkable progress of this nearly completed, transformative space. The afternoon concluded with a gracious luncheon hosted by our Hospitality Committee, providing a warm and welcoming setting for conversation, reconnection, and celebration. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our guests for spending this meaningful day with us and for their continued belief in our mission. Their presence served as a powerful reminder of the legacy we carry and the responsibility we share in shaping the next chapter of our school’s journey. As we look ahead, we feel both inspired & energized by the strength of our community and excited for all that lies ahead as we continue to grow, innovate, and build upon the foundation of the past 50 years. We would like to extend another round of applause to our 2026 Armenian Educational Foundation (AEF) Oratorical Competition winners as they received their trophies today. 👏 Armenian category middle school winner, David Gasparian (7th grade) delivered his speech on the topic, “How can one person spark change, and how does their story inspire you to use your own voice?”, focusing his speech on Charles Aznavour. English category high school winner, Harout Karadanaian, (10th grade), delivered his speech exploring how Armenia can pursue a technology-driven future while preserving its cultural identity and heritage. We are excited to sample the Anatomage Table ahead of introduction to the incoming CLC Innovation Studios Medical Lab. DHS students & teachers had the opportunity to explore this incredible device first hand. Trusted by world-renowned institutions including Harvard Medical School, Stanford, the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, UCI Medical School, Mayo Clinic, and many more, the @anatomage table provides students with an immersive, hands-on learning experience through interactive 3D anatomy visualization and virtual dissection. Thank you to our Director of Curriculum Dr. Natalie Berberian for introducing the Anatomage Table to our school community and for supporting innovative learning opportunities for our students and staff. The addition will help our students strengthen their understanding of anatomy, build critical skills, and gain exposure to advanced technology used leading medical and healthcare programs across the country. Anatomage is the leader in advanced 3D medical visualization technology, specializing in digitizing real human bodies into interactive, fully functional 3D cadavers. We are proud to continue creating opportunities that inspire learning, innovation, and student success as they work toward reaching their full potential in the healthcare field.
