What a few years we’ve had! From sleeping in bags in the desert to playing music festivals to staying in a beach house, I love you BunBun. You’re the best dog mom Mr B could ever ask for and the most supportive understanding partner I could ever dream of. You’re my person and my heart Bunny, love you to the moon and back ❤️

What a weekend of incredible talent! Was a blessing to work with such a wide array of acts for the Leather and Lace Fleetwood Mac Tribute last weekend. Thanks for the memories y’all! Can’t wait to do it again 🤘❤️

@oregoncountryfair you are my safe place. 13 fairs in the books & a lifetime more to go! We were so blessed to be introduced to this festival in 2010! The one and only @marvellis brought is here singing back ups & let our band sing our very first set @ the Spirit Tower!! I was immediately enamored by all of the colorful human beings and incredible music, + cant forget the glitter! It has been such an amazing joyous ride since then! We started out busking in the clamshell across from the Ritz & we were invited to perform inside. From there, we were asked to play at the Chela Mela & Keesey Stage. The next year, we played again at the Spirit Tower! Since then we have had the honor to perform at the Dance Pavilion, Horse Coral, Chez Rays, & last year our band performed on the Main Stage! This festival feels like coming home for us. As a 10 time burner, I never thought I would find space that made me feel that way & of course it was right in my sweet home state of Oregon. Here are just a few shots from magical fair! Friday eve, pre fire show (thanks to @primaltones and @free.creatures ) + Main Stage w/ @sideboobpdx & @shooktwins !Saturday @ Blue Moon with Haley & our amazing besties @glitterfoxband + the infamous night show @ the best of the best underground booth Tooth & Nail! (with @annamossmusic , @alderstreetband , @glitterfoxband , us @_theam , @rebandthegoodnews & @tugandtheheartstrings ) Everyone brought their A game & what a lineup!! Huge thank you to @misswildiris for giving us the opportunity to come rock & this year we brought the sound & lighting! Sunday we rocked main stage with our besties & what a rush! I did not get much video or photos as I was living in the moment & let me tell you those mental pictures will be there forever! Happy happy fair y’all! Thanks for making it one for the books & also huge thank you my band & to our incredible camp at Alice’s! Love you soo much!! See you next fair!! 🍑❤️

@oregoncountryfair you are magic Favorite festival in the world. When I found out in early May we had not gotten accepted to a daytime stage at fair I cried for about a week or so and wallowed and questioned my existence as a musician. (Haha dramatic I know, yes it’s me Jenni) but it meant something to me it all means so much to me. Two days later Melanie from Tooth and Nail reached out to ask us to perform Saturday night for a fair night show. It was a sweet reprise to a very dark week and a half. We would in fact be able to come to our favorite place on earth again and sing for our favorite fair family. The story continues and we realized life throws ya obstacles and the universe assists! Fast forward to fair with not one but five AM shows ALL over the fair. To say we are grateful and filled with so much joy to be asked by the fair family to perform each year during the most magical late night hours would be an understatement. Back home in Portland and reflecting on the goodness that is the Oregon Country Fair and the heart and soul that is this community. Already Missing this glorious place so much! Thank you to everyone rooting for us. I needed a slap in the face of magic to be reminded that it is the fair family that bust their butts day in and day out to put this magical festival on and the fair family that works tirelessly before fair and after fair to make it better than ever for next year and all the fairs to come. That same fair chose us to perform for them! Thank you to each of you for ALL you do! Thank you to each friend that helped us get passes and shared their incredible musical gifts throughout the weekend! I’m so fucking proud of each one of you! Thank you to all my besties who came out Saturday night and sang and Signed and danced their asses off during our set! We did it! Gonna start posting more live shows singing (thanks to a friends suggestion) @haleyjohnsenmus 😘🥰 This song “Fend for yourself” was written about our late dad. He passed suddenly in 2019 and this year marks his 5th year anniversary in heaven… Most of you that know us know we did not have a great relationship with our father. Our parents divorced when @mcjojolovesyou and I were 6 and although he was not around much as kids we tried very hard to have a relationship with him in our adult years. He struggled with mental health and being diagnosed late in his life. The medicine never made him feel himself so he chose not to take it. This created a nomad hermited lifestyle. He lived on the Washington coast most of his later life and loved the ocean and the peaceful lifestyle out near the ocean… We take time to honor him every night at our shows by singing this song. As children we started singing with him when we were just 2 years old. He had a beautiful voice and such an ear for anything musical. He had perfect pitch and a beautifully creative mind. Although we struggled with connection in his living years. Now that he has moved on into the after life we feel more connected than ever when singing on stage. We also welcome anyone at our shows to bring in someone they’ve lost to honor them and remember them. Sending love to anyone that may’ve experienced a single parent family and family members that struggle with mental health issues. It’s no joke and I am hugging you through our music. This song helps me cope with his loss and his struggles.
