Jeff Bezos’ Washington Post is attacking us because we’re fighting for workers’ rights, and it threatens billionaires’ power. We’ll take it as a badge of honor and never stop fighting for public service workers’ voice on the job.
This National EMS Week and every week, we are grateful to the EMS workers — including many AFSCME members — who step up to help people in their hardest moments. These skilled professionals work around the clock to save lives. We will never take their courage and dedication for granted.
Voting rights and union rights go hand in hand. Right now, state by state, anti-worker forces are working to rob working people of our power by taking away our voting rights. That's why working people are rallying Alabama to protect our freedom to vote.
Virginians deserve better than a governor who makes promises to empower workers one day and abandons them next. We will keep fighting until Virginia's public service workers have the freedom to organize and collectively bargain.
The fight for civil rights and labor rights cannot be separated.
Right now, the same forces who are attacking our rights as workers want to redraw maps to stop us from voting – especially communities of color.
Take a stand for our freedom to vote tomorrow at events in Selma and Montgomery. RSVP at the link in our bio.
When we fight, we win! Late last night our team reached a tentative agreement with UC, setting the highest standards at UC. Strike is off. Report to your regular scheduled shift.

No matter the emergency, AFSCME members in law enforcement never quit. This week is National Law Enforcement Week, a time to honor the law enforcement officers who keep our communities safe and remember those who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice.
Union moms do it all: raise families, care for others and fight for dignity on the job. This Mother’s Day, we honor the working mothers who never stop showing up for their loved ones, coworkers and communities.
Thank you to the law enforcement officers who put on the badge every day and dedicate their lives to protecting our communities.
During National Law Enforcement Week, we recognize the courage, sacrifice, and commitment of officers who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe.
We also honor and remember the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their service and bravery will never be forgotten.
Last year, anti-worker extremists in Congress passed the so-called Big Beautiful Bill, which slashed health care funding and kicked millions off of Medicaid, just to give tax breaks to billionaires.
Now, working families are feeling the effects with skyrocketing health care prices. It's to time to stop the #HealthCareHeist
Primary care providers employed by the MetroHealth network in Cleveland are forming a union through @afscme_8oh .
