Alongside @mochaarts we are ringing in the opening of the Community Futures School this Saturday! It may be a bit cliche to say, but children are, quite literally, the future. And there is nothing more heartening for us than empowering BIPOC youth and their families to imagine new, and better futures.
These kids are really something else! This poster here was made by the talented CFS youth Alysse Brown!
CFS is an arts and technology program under MOCHA that is committed to increasing every child’s access to safe and engaging arts and future-focused education.
We’ll be leading a game of Afro-Rithms from the future to help kick off this opening exhibition We, quite literally, couldn’t be more excited.

This is an imagined object/inspiration from the future of children designed edible parks contributed by one of our game participants and rendered by the extraordinary Graphic artist and Professor Stacey Robinson of the Black Kirby dynamic comix duo! Stacey intends to add another layer of color to this but gotta say we were all stunned to see him do this in an hour! Thanks to having Afro-Rithms From The Future at the Humanities Institute@ SUNY, Buffalo!
