Hi Afriek Friend,
Thank you so much for being part of the AFRIEK journey. When I started AFRIEK in 2013, I had this big idea of working together based on equality, but I was so scared to start! Luckily Kars was there by my side, convinced that this business was a good idea. Now, almost 10 years later, I am so grateful for this journey, the collaborations, all the people who joined the AFRIEK vision by loving and wearing our clothes.
Obviously, a lot has changed since then. Co-founder Kars left the company in 2018, our business shifted from working with Kitenge to working with locally sourced Organic Cotton, and I, Sivan, moved to the Californian Desert just before the international borders closed because of the pandemic.
Running a business over 3 continents has been an interesting challenge and now it's time to simplify again. Therefore we decided to close our distribution in Europe and partner with Loomstate to ship our products from the US, starting October 15th. This means that shipping your orders in the US will be cheaper and easier, and rates will increase for orders in Europe.
To celebrate this move, ánd to give you one last opportunity to get our collection in Europe for the lower shipping rates, we offer 50% discount for the coming two weeks, ending on October 15th (no returns!)

We suggest washing it inside out - to protect the print and buttons - on 30 degrees and hang dry it. Before you wash it, consider hanging it up to air it out. Keep in mind to wash the dress with similar colors, so it does not discolor.
