A Film in Another Language follows Mya, a young woman recently immigrated from an unspecified country working as a dishwasher in a restaurant. A story about communication, music and connection, the entire film is spoken in an unknown language.

Introducing our prolific EDITOR:
Ryan is a London based filmmaker, found his passion in film editing at the London Film School. He has edited several short films, including The Bull, The Farm, and Divine Intervention, many of which have screened at prestigious festivals such as the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival, and Aesthetica Short Film Festival—festivals that qualify for the Oscars, BAFTA, BIFA, and European Film Awards. Passionate about crafting emotional journeys, Ryan aims to create immersive cinematic experiences for his audiences.
Meet our profoundly talented DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY:
Scott Larson is a cinematographer from Dallas, Texas now living in Los Angeles. He attended Chapman university where he earned a degree in film production and is currently working freelance in LA.
He has had projects in various festivals such as SXSW and has been nominated for an ASC heritage award in both the documentary and narrative category.
He hopes to continue shooting more narrative and features.
We are all so thankful and humbled to have been able to work with our brilliantly talented lead.
