We’re pleased to share that 36 Lime Street has been awarded £847,932 from the Creative Foundations Fund, part of the Government’s Arts Everywhere Fund, delivered by Arts Council England on behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
This investment will support vital improvements to our building, including increased accessibility, improved energy efficiency, and the creation of a new shared workshop and education space.
For over 30 years, 36 Lime Street has provided affordable studio space for artists in Newcastle. Founded in 1983 by Mike Mould, this funding marks an important step in ensuring the building can continue to support artists and communities for years to come.
We’re proud to be part of this wider investment in cultural infrastructure across the North East.
