Lindsay goes by the nom de plume ‘M^h’; mind ‘to the power of’ the heart. M^h is a truth-seeking, soul-searching storyteller. She believes in the power of words to perceive, create, and destroy all forms of life. Her work, an exploration of the human condition in all its forms, allows her to feel deeply, without judgment, and to speak when no one else will.
Lindsay is currently exploring words and breath as the mirror that exposes wounds and the balm that aids the slow healing process.
She is the prolific author of various chapbooks and anthologies, including “Human Nature,” "Of Lilith & Delilah," and "What My body knew," and is a contributor to numerous others.

WORD KALCHA || Meet the poet 🎤🔥
Born @kadenheremaxwell (Max the poet) is a Shona comic spoken word artist from Harare and a former junior parliamentarian. He has performed on stages across Zimbabwe, earning third place at the LitFest Poetry Slam in 2022.
Max was among the few poets selected for the first round of Next Big Superstar and won the Word Kalcha Poetry Slam in January 2026. Known for using humor to connect with audiences, his poetry is both entertaining and thought-provoking. He is set to launch his debut novel, _(Pasi Ndimedze).

WORD KALCHA || Meet your poet 🔥🎙️
Zaza Muchemwa, Poet/Playwright/Theater Director/ Dramaturg/Producer, is a writer whose practice is rooted in exploring the complexities of Zimbabwean life and the human condition across different genres.
Her journey began with poetry, a medium she has used to capture profound moments in anthological publications like Tesserae, All Protocols Observed and Cyphers and, presentations like Sofar Sounds Black History Month Commemorations held in collaboration with Word Kalcha and the US embassy in Harare.
This foundation in poetic language informs her other work, particularly short stories, such as 'Dance with Yesterday.' Zaza’s development as a playwright has been a significant part of her career, marked by Intensives, fellowships and residencies with internation…
