Together with University of Glasgow’s Biodiversity Group and the Glasgow University Environmental Sustainability Team (GUEST), we warmly invite participants, biodiversity activists and the wider public to an informal closing event at the Goethe‑Institut & Alliance Française Glasgow for the Kelvingrove Biodiversity Challenge 2026!
From 7 to 14 May 2026, participants were invited to take part in a participatory bioblitz using iNaturalist, a free app that allows users to record and identify plants, animals and fungi while contributing to a global biodiversity database. This database can be used by researchers and scientists for mapping the development of biodiversity. The challenge can be completed at everyone’s own pace during the week.
The evening will include a short student‑led reflection on grassroots climate and biodiversity action, followed by an opportunity to celebrate the collective contributions, share experiences and continue the conversation.
📅 14 May at 6pm, 3 Park Circus
