MY JOURNEY
I started at Cheshunt as a kid who just loved football. No pressure, no noise — just a ball at my feet.
Then Leyton Orient picked me up at 8. Norwich at 15. I moved into a boarding school before I even knew who I was. That year broke me in ways I didn’t speak about. My mind went somewhere dark, and I had to step away from the game just to breathe again.
I fought my way back. Trialed at West Ham for 6 weeks and earned a contract… then my body started a war.
Meniscus gone — 12 months out.
Came back hungry — blocked a shot and snapped my ACL and meniscus. Another 14 months gone.
I still pushed. Signed pro. Tried to climb back in. But sometimes life doesn’t care how hard you’ve worked. I got released.
So I went back to where it all began — Cheshunt. Then AFC Turnford my brothers football club And when it finally felt like I’d found joy again… my patella snapped. Same knee. Same fight.
This journey hasn’t been pretty. It hasn’t been easy. It’s been painful, lonely, and unfair at times. But every setback has put something in me that can’t be taught.
I’m still here. Still standing. Still hungry.
Don’t count me out.
I’m coming back — and when I do, it’ll make sense why I never gave up
