🎬 Film Fact Friday: DJI Ronin 4D 🎬 The DJI Ronin 4D by @dji is a cinema camera on a gimbal...but with a twist. While other gimbals have three axes, the Ronin 4D has four. This additional "Z-Axis" makes the camera extremely stable while undergoing extreme movement. Equipped with a LiDAR focus system as well, the DJI Ronin 4D lets the camera operator maintain consistent focus on moving subjects while keeping an incredible stable shot. At AFAV, we harness DJI's powerful 4-Axis technology in the Ronin 4D for projects that require lots of movement, such as documentaries, walking shots, and tracking shots. With its 8K resolution and 35mm full-frame sensor, the Ronin 4D is sometimes used in multi-cam setups as well. The 4-Axis stabilization saves time by reducing the number of takes needed and making run-and-gun shots much more efficient, while the LiDAR focus system makes focusing one less thing to think about for a solo camera operator.
