The Aether Digital Platform Mobile App provides users with convenient, real-time control over their Zeus hand.
Through the app, users can customize grip configurations, monitor and fine-tune EMG signals, and stay connected with their clinician, including the option for remote configuration sessions. This enables adjustments and support without the need for in-person visits.
The platform also includes the brand new Academy module, designed to help users build confidence and improve control through guided training. With structured exercises and a two-week program, it offers a practical way to explore the full capabilities of the Zeus hand.

There are very simple things that change when you have support. And you don’t really notice it until you do.
I wanted to share this because when you start using Zeus, everything is about adapting at first. It takes time. Little by little, you become more aware of your movements and start understanding which grip to use and when.
It’s not automatic or immediate. For example, here I’m making a fried egg. It’s not something that’s easy right away. I’ve been using it for almost a year now, and over time it becomes more natural—even more complex things.
You also learn that not everything is done the same way, or like a “normal” hand. You have to figure out what works for you, which grips help you most, and how to adapt it to your own way of doing things. It’s not the same for everyone, but with time and practice, it becomes much easier.

Quería compartir esto porque cuando empiezas a usar Zeus, al principio todo es adaptación. Toma tiempo. Poco a poco te vuelves más consciente de tus movimientos y empiezas a entender qué agarre usar y en qué momento.
No es automático ni inmediato. Por ejemplo, aquí estoy haciendo un huevo estrellado. No es algo que te salga fácil desde el inicio. Yo llevo casi un año usándolo y con el tiempo se vuelve más natural, incluso cosas más complejas.
También aprendes que no todo se hace igual ni como una mano “normal”. Tienes que encontrar qué funciona para ti, qué agarres te sirven más y cómo adaptarlo a tu forma de hacer las cosas. No es lo mismo para todos, pero con práctica se vuelve mucho más sencillo.
Zeus S and Zeus M hands are equipped with two intuitive buttons located directly on the palm, designed to enhance control and user confidence in everyday situations.
The first button activates Freeze Mode. Once engaged, the hand locks in its current position and temporarily ignores EMG signals. This allows users to maintain a secure grip without unintended movements, especially useful when carrying objects over longer distances, stabilizing items during tasks, or avoiding accidental activations in dynamic environments. Freeze Mode can also be activated via EMG, and both methods can be used interchangeably or in parallel, depending on user preference.
The second button enables grip switching. A short press functions as a Primary Change Signal, while a long press acts as a Secondary Change Signal, mirroring the same logic used in EMG-based control. Users can seamlessly combine button-based and EMG-based inputs, creating a flexible and redundant control system.
This dual approach makes Zeus S and Zeus M especially accessible for new users, while also offering experienced users a reliable, precise, and highly adaptable way to interact with their prosthesis. #aetherbiomedical #zeushand #prosthetics #limbdifference #bionichand
