i can’t describe how much @znakcommunity & @afterschool.dept stress me out, but i also can’t describe how grateful and full of love i am. because of you all, i can call this city home.
i saw your faces yesterday, and they had all the answers i’ve been looking for. if you had told me 10 years ago, when i had just moved to spain, that i wouldn’t feel lost and broken, and that i’d have something worth waking up to, i wouldn’t have believed you, but here we are.
@xuliaxav described a community as “people making each other’s lives easier.” it might not always feel like that in the moment, but on a bigger scale, it does. and we’ll show it to bcn (and not only).

p.s. if u watch the slide with @_alenalina_ long enough u will see how @demelothais_ took over the lamp role so that i could go talk to the police lmao
explanation of the last slide: i think this screenshot was taken even before znak was created. @kolieva told me i should be a producer: “you’re a pimp for creatives, you have a talent for finding gems in people.”
i replied, “yh, i can find them, but what am i supposed to do with them after? i can only be friends with them.”
little did i know it could be the same thing.
BENVINGUTS
We’re opening the Afterschool Department this Friday, the 17th, at 6:00 PM.
We’re bursting into the permanent space at 08015 with an exhibition, performances, a DJ & live jam, and lots of fun.
In future posts, we’ll tell you about the artists, collaborators, and the program, which will span two days. After the opening, you’ll be able to visit the exhibition for a month, and we’ll be announcing additional events.
