At Adyen, we recognize that meaningful connection doesnât always happen in a loud, crowded room. Sometimes, the best way to strengthen our teams is through a relaxed, intimate environment that allows for focus and individual expression. To celebrate Neurodiversity Awareness Month, our North America offices traded the traditional mixer for a more creative outing: Paint Nights hosted by our Neurodiversity @ Adyen ERG. These sessions offered our team a creative way to connect at their own pace.
A huge thank you to our ERG members and Workplace team for championing these inclusive spaces!

This yearâs International Womenâs Day theme, âGive to Gainâ, focuses on the concept that when we give, whether thatâs through donations, knowledge, mentorship, or time, weâre not only strengthening our communities but ourselves.
In honor of this theme, our North America Women @ Adyen ERG hosted a panel exploring how investing in your community and your career growth go hand in hand. We heard from our own Sukhpreet Bains and Isabelle Smeekes, as well as Leslie Giodarano (Big Brothers Big Sisters of America) and Heesun Lho (Tory Burch Foundation), about how theyâve put this belief into action in their careers. A few takeaways from the panel included:
đą Sharing your seat at the table builds a more resilient and successful organization.
đ Celebrating a peerâs win doesnât dilute your own.
đŁ Mentorship lives in the small moments, like advocating for someone when they arenât in the room.
Women @ Adyen also put this yearâs theme into action through multiple volunteering events, including creating personal care kits in partnership with local non-profits and STEAM kits to spark curiosity in science, tech, engineering, arts, and math among young girls.
A huge thank you to our speakers, executive sponsor Nadia Qureshi, and the team for making it all happen!

As part of our shared effort to support TUMO Amsterdam's mission helping young people access free, creative tech education, we recently hosted our first Inside Tech event alongside Just Eat Takeaway, Miro, and TomTom.
TUMO students stepped into our office, met the people behind the products, and gained a real idea of what working in tech actually looks like through hands-on experience.
Explore their work, impact, and ways to get involved at @tumo_amsterdam .
In celebration of Black History Month, our Black @ Adyen ERG invited Michelle Bishop, Executive Director of @Iamharlemneedlearts , to lead a hands-on educational workshop around the importance of quilting within the African American diaspora. She shared the long history of quilts as art, communication, and resistance, along with examples of modern works that carry on the tradition.
The Adyen team across our North American offices then created their own quilt squares, which will then be stitched together into a single work representing the patchwork of all our different stories unified through collaboration.

Last week, our Asians @ Adyen Employee Resource Group hosted a Lunar New Year celebration for all of our North American teams to participate in.
We were honored to host local lion dance performers who showcased the traditional Cai Qing ritual, including the symbolic offering of lettuce to the vibrant lions, representing good fortune and prosperity for the year ahead. It was a fantastic opportunity to share traditions and bring in the new year together as a team!

Here at Adyen, we know that the start is just one part of the journey. When people choose to join Adyen, they make a conscious decision to follow their ambitions, look forward, and pursue the path to whatâs next.
So, we asked our team to tell us about their start at Adyen and what their journey has been like since joining.
After 13 years at her previous company, DaniĂŤlle knew it was time for a new challenge. She brought her ambitions to Adyen, where she leads with trust, flexibility, and a simple belief: give people ownership, and theyâll do whatâs right for the customer.
Last week, In partnership with @nycfintechwomen âs local chapter, our Chicago office hosted âFrom Middle to Momentum: Navigating the Fintech Career Curveâ, a panel covering the complexities of mid-career growth.
Our Global Head of Performance Optimization, Brigette Korney, joined Susan Wolf (Moran), Director at AlixPartners, for the candid discussion, which was moderated by veteran journalist Sandra Guy.
A few insights from their conversation:
đ You donât have to choose between depth and range. Treat your career like a university âmajorâ, supported by strategic âminorsâ that expand your scope without weakening your focus.
âĄď¸ The right move isnât always upward. Lateral roles can help build the cross-functional experience needed for leadership.
đ When you make a real connection, follow up and be clear about what youâre looking for. Many opportunities still come from unexpected places.
A huge thanks to everyone who joined us and contributed to the conversation!
