Our CYCLES visual project, featuring @trienaldelisboa , represents Portugal at the Open House Europe Annual Summit Exhibition in Athens, scheduled for January 2026. The exhibition showcases a selection of works from across Europe.
The Artistic Direction of "Umbilical" is endorsed by the Conseil International de la Danse, @unesco advisor and the highest-ranking umbrella organisation representing dance globally, with Artistic Director @tiagobastosnunes formally admitted by General Secretary Ada Angeli in 2026.

The first presentation of Umbilical was an unprecedented moment of creation: one of two rehearsals that prepared an opening moment for a close audience. As we prepare to take a step further, we would like to thank the performing cast who supported this first version of the artistic installation under the guidance of Choreographic Director Amélia Caldas: Adrian-Niclas Heidrich, Beatriz Pereira, Caio Almeida, Catarina Gonçalves, Cláudio Costa, Julia Sánchez-Lanuza, and Raquel Amaral.
And Eve Artak Zandi, Vera Nobre, Carlos Franco, Ana Catarina Santos, and Fernando Chainço.

It’s an honour to have CYCLES selected alongside two other finalists by the 16-member festivals that make up the international jury of @openhouseeurope — the first ever achievement for Portugal in this competition.
The digital artwork will continue its circuit across European partner cities as part of the “Future Heritage” exhibition tour in 2026.
We’re glad to be representing Portugal in the @openhouseeurope “Future Heritage” exhibition in Athens and in its printed publication with CYCLES, a creation supported by @trienaldelisboa that addresses the summit’s theme by combining media arts with the cartography of our capital.
In 2025, we had the opportunity to end the year by showcasing the first steps of “Umbilical”, our performative installation, to a limited guest audience at Teatro Thalia in the form of an open rehearsal.
