I’ve seen Wave boards around for the last few years and I’ve been curious to see how good they are for the price point they sell at.
I’m pleased to say that this board is awesome and you get so much for your money. Coming in at £189 for the 11 foot version, it’s a no brainer for the sub £200 choice.
The board is light without feeling like you will blow away in the breeze. It steers well with a single fin and it feels as stable as you need for a board of this length.
Being a tourer, it has more straps and bungees than you know what to do with, which will come in handy on those long summer paddles when you need the extra kit!
It comes with everything you need including quick release ankle strap which is new to me and could get you out of a tricky situation!
I still recommend a quick release waist strap or no leash at all, but this is definitely an improvement on a standard ankle leash for river paddling. A great innovation 👏🏻
