🦇☠️ Spooky Halloween Hike to the Cave of Munits w/ guest guide @adventure_foo ruled! As night fell, 40+ VGHs hiked to the cave which was a feat in and of itself and then maybe half of us who were feeling brave climbed in which was no piece of cake. And we all survived mostly unscathed. Thank you to everyone who came out last night and made VGHC Hike 48 truly special. After the cave, and after dark, we hiked back but stopped at some ruins of a water barrel and a car. We took the wrong detour to the ruins for a second which was totally intentional in order to spook everyone just a little bit more! ;) Huge thank you to valley boy Ozzy, @adventure_foo , for planning this hike and leading us on a spooktacular evening. Ozzy is a true valley hiker and adventurer, always getting out there. Follow him for more! HIKE 45 was at the Victory Trailhead w/ guest guide Ozzy aka @adventure_foo ! Ozzy took us on his own trail that he discovered by growing up and living in the West Valley and hiking around the area for years. It was a gorgeous sunset hike with incredible views and multiple sitings from red tail hawks to centipedes (or millipedes?) to scrub jays… to native squash and milkweed too and more. Perfect send off before VGHC takes a little summer break for a couple months. Shout out to Ozzy ( @adventure_foo ) for guiding us! Ozzy is a valley boy who’s always hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and general adventuring so I was honored to have him organize this hike. After a hiatus and spotty rides in between we are gonna be hosting weekly Friday night rides again. As always all bikes welcome! This will always be a no drop ride as always but we will follow the pace the majority of the group takes. We will post where the store stop will be just in case, every last Friday we will do a dirt ride! We welcome all riders from walks of life, we will not tolerate racism, sexism, and transphobia!
