Since 2009, our @kinkallafb crew has been meeting at Alex’s house to keep this tradition alive, and today I wanted to show a bit of that essence. One of the games we always come back to, apart from the classic Game of Skate, is this challenge where anything can happen 🛹 We throw a bunch of completely different setups into a bag, from proper tech setups to full metal boards, super long @grip_skin decks, and even things like a wooden spoon. Then, without looking, you pick one and have to land a trick first try with whatever you get. No excuses 😅 In this clip, Ferran gets a boosted @techdeck setup and handles it clean, Alex struggles with the full metal setup, Pol gets the super long GripSkin deck, and I end up with a narrow, low wooden setup. Blackriver Ramp Roulette trick recap 🎯 I’ve been collaborating closely with Blackriver for quite some time now, filming a lot of roulettes, and I really wanted to bring all the tricks together in one video 🛹 I still remember the moment it all started… looking at my shelf with the few Blackriver ramps I had back then and thinking about how to bring them all together in a different way. That’s where the roulette idea came from 🤍 At the beginning I didn’t have that many, but thanks to Blackriver the roulette could grow into something much bigger and more complete 🔥 Each one is a challenge. Trying to stay original, get the most out of every obstacle, and at the same time film each trick in the best way possible 🎥 The editing has also been getting more and more refined with every new roulette. One trick, 10-stair, different perspectives. This reel is a small reminder of something easy to forget, not everything needs to be complicated to be beautiful ✨ Here I’m repeating the same trick over and over, a switch flip frontside crooked, captured from multiple angles on a 10 stair set with a white down handrail from Blackriver, to highlight what really matters, the catch, the lock-in on the rail, the control all the way down, and the way it comes out clean at the end. It’s not the hardest trick out there, not the most technical, but there’s something about it that just feels right every time it comes out clean 🧼 Sometimes we get too focused on pushing for the most difficult combos, the most complex lines, the tricks that feel “next level”. And in that process, we overlook how satisfying the fundamentals can be when they’re done properly. A clean trick, well executed, with control and style, can be just as powerful as any high-difficulty line. It’s about how it looks, how it flows, and how it feels when everything connects perfectly. Filming it from different points of view makes you appreciate those details even more 🎥 The same motion, the same timing, but each angle reveals something different, the precision of the flip, the way the board locks into the crooked on the rail, the subtle adjustments that make it work. Fingerboarding, like skateboarding, is not only about progression, it’s also about appreciation. Slowing things down, repeating a trick, and really seeing it for what it is. The Berlinwood Blackriver white logo was my first wooden deck ever (pic in the end of the carousel) 🤍🛹 It came with me to my first meetup, my first event, my first YouTube videos, my first nollies, switches… even my first sessions on a Blackriver park. Easily one of the decks with the most sentimental value for me ✨ Berlinwood stopped making this graphic over 7 years ago, and since then I’ve been hunting for it nonstop, asking people from all over the world, offering trades, and even checking the Blackriver/Berlinwood workshop twice… but no luck at all 😅 Until one day, talking to @popdecksofficial , someone I’ve known for many years, told me he’d figure out a way to recreate it for me 😍 When this beauty arrived, I honestly couldn’t believe it. He didn’t just recreate my first deck… he made it even better. A unique, beautiful, 1:1 version of a deck that means so much to me 🤩 Huge thanks Tom, for the love and effort you put into this. And thanks to @blackriver_official and @berlinwood.official for letting me dig through the workshop (twice!) trying to find that graphic and help me to have this piece of art 🙏🏻
