I designed this outfit from a vintage sari(posted its picture ) I found years ago in Hauz Khas Village, drawn to its rich colour and beautiful lustre.
Though the sari had stains with age, I carefully used the finest parts of the weave to transform it into a bold, contemporary silhouette with exaggerated power shoulders, a fitted bodice, a sculptural peplum waist, and a sleek pencil-cut skirt.
An old Indian woven sari (posted a picture of it to the end ) reimagined into an electrifying peacock blue statement piece with a strong, modern high-fashion spirit.
