Driving from Barcelona to Japan #Mangystau desert 🇰🇿 was a must stop✅ the only #S2000 who made it, and probably the only around these countries.
A lot of people told me that i was crazy, only 4x4 cars could make it blablabla it performed 10/10

Today I want to share a very special Honda S2000 AP1 from Spain.
This is a late-model AP1 from 2009, the final production year of the S2000, powered by the 2.0L F20C naturally aspirated engine. Unlike Japan and the US, European-market S2000s stayed AP1 with the 2.0L engine from 1999 until the end of production, which makes this spec feel uniquely European.
In stock form, the S2000 was never really meant for long-distance travel. Its lightweight chassis, high-revving engine and handling-focused setup made it a pure sports car for winding roads.
But in this owner’s hands, the car has been completely reimagined.
Raised suspension, higher-profile all-terrain tires, underbody protection and even a rear-mounted spare wheel gave it the ability to leave paved roads behind. It’s still very much an S2000 — just one built for adventure.
The rear window is covered in stickers collected from different places and communities. Over time, they started to feel like travel stamps, quietly telling the story of where this car has been.
Later, I learned that this “illogical” S2000 had actually completed an incredible journey — driving 21,000 km across 60 days from Barcelona to Tokyo.
His reason was simple: if you keep waiting for the perfect time, maybe it never happens.
So one day, he asked himself:
Why not now?
Four months later, I saw the car again, and it already looked completely different. I’m sure it will continue to surprise us. And I hope both his journey — and the friendship built through cars — continue for many years to come.

Cuando planeé preparar el S2000 en Japón tenía en mente vinilarlo todo en blanco, pero al ver que sería algo temporal decidí que, tal y como encontrara las piezas, las instalaría.
Nunca he sido fan del “mismatch”, pero ahora no quiero verlo de otra forma… Es curioso cómo algo accidental ha acabado siendo tan especial 🤍💛💙❤️

7 primeros días de este viaje, y ya sumo 50 días en Japón repartidos en tres viajes y más de 7.000 km con el S2000 por estas tierras.
Ahora tocan unos días de descanso tanto para el coche como para mi espalda 🥲. Aún faltan un par de detalles por cerrar antes de los próximos trackdays, y aunque vienen muchos eventos a los que me gustaría ir, también quiero cuidar el coche y no disparar el presupuesto… así que toca darle unos días de break, ahora sólo quiero disfrutarlo al máximo en circuito💪🏼
