Loved working on this masked face for Yannick, one of those clients who always trusts me with powerful ideas.
You’ve seen these before: the fierce Asian-inspired demon masks of classic tattooing. Echoes of the carved masks and prints sailors brought back from Asia in the early 1900s. A blend of folklore and theater, exaggerated expressions, wild yet elegant, timeless and magnetic.
The way this one sits, the teeth, the eyes, that intense gaze, it feels alive on the skin. Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Had the absolute pleasure of tattooing this portrait inspired by an early 20th-century sheet music cover titled “Flirty Eyes – Words and Music by Harry L. Newman.”
These old illustrated covers from the 1910s–1920s had such a unique vibe, dreamy faces, elegant hairstyles, a touch of charm and mischief. Think Art Nouveau slowly shifting into early Art Deco. It’s that perfect blend of nostalgia and attitude that hits just right for a tattoo.
This kind of imagery feels totally natural to me, love being in this territory.
