Ce projet photographique est né d’une volonté de rencontre entre deux pratiques artistiques : celle d’artistes visuels, ancrée dans le geste, la matière et le temps, et la mienne, issue de la photographie de mode et du portrait construit.
La série se développe à partir d’un temps d’immersion préalable auprès de chaque artiste. Cette première étape, photographiée en lumière naturelle, relève d’une approche documentaire. Dans l’intimité de l’atelier, je m’attache à observer les processus de création, les gestes, les rythmes, les espaces et les atmosphères propres à chaque pratique.
Une première partie vu comme un reportage sur les techniques de l’artiste, la seconde partie comme un série de portraits s’inspirant des codes de la photographie de mode.

A portrait series exploring how boldness meets elegance. Panache is not about appearance, it’s about presence.
A way of inhabiting space, of expressing confidence with intention and style.
For each portrait, I ask one question:
“For me, having panache is…”

"Panache is the art of dressing for joy. It’s slipping into colorful strassed pumps or a fully embroidered jacket on a grey Tuesday morning, not because the occasion calls for it, but because you do. And then wearing it straight to the office because why not. After all, life is far too short not to wear sparkles... and as Oscar Wilde once said, you can never be overdressed or overeducated."
