On a remote island in the Philippines, @unna___________ is a quiet and raw place that invites slowness and simplicity.
Here, no cut flowers are available. The landscape itself calls for different materials. Wild grasses once used to thatch roofs, shells gathered along the shore, a chicken nest woven from dried coconut leaves, and rice grown to nourish the community. Each element holds a quiet story.
This residency explores a way of creating that aligns with nature and finds beauty in what’s often overlooked — a dialogue between the artist and the land, built on care, reciprocity, and trust in nature’s generosity.
