Through my philanthropic work via @solgaard@solgaardnyx and partnerships with @sungaiwatch and others - we have helped prevent over 3.5 million pounds of plastic from the ocean. And thereās so much more to come š
@ted started off with a bang - amazing new initiative by @markrober and team was announced yesterday to offer a full curriculum to science teachers all over the world for free.
As a sub optimal student in traditional classrooms - Iām a massive fan of what he just announced.
Big news - we just brought on Rob Cooper - former president at TUMI to help scale @solgaard into the big leagues.
Iām pumped.
Also - our crowdfunding campaign is now open so you can invest in this next chapter of Solgaard.
With over 20,000 backers via crowdfunding over the years, Iām a firm believer in the power of community and having lots of smaller investors rather than a few big ones.
The whole team at Solgaard is revved up and ready to grow with the new funding we will raise via this campaign, and Iām so glad to have Robās experience and wisdom on our side as we take things to the next level.

Honoured that @solgaard and @solgaardnyx continues to be working with @sungaiwatch on our additional impact work cleaning rivers in Indonesia.
So far we arenāt able to use those materials in our luggage yet but itās something we are working on! Luggage shells are made from 60% post industrial recycled polycarbonate and our fabric is made from 100% PET collected from the environment.
