Adriana Beach (she/her) is a Sydney/Eora-based multidisciplinary artist working across installation, spatial and experiential design, sculpture, textile and sound. Her work seeks to activate and transform the spaces it inhabits, inviting audiences to engage not just with the art itself, but with the environment surrounding it. From galleries, to dancefloors, her pieces speak to their habitat and are used to gently draw attention to the surrounding elementsâmaking the environment itself an active and integral part of the artwork, an invitation to engage with both the immediate space and beyond.â¨â¨Her installation practice is driven by a desire to etherealise and expand environments, rather than encouraging interpretation of the work itself, Adriana aims to bring awareness to the elements that encompass itâinviting a sense of presence and connection to place. Through the use of materials that move with the wind or respond to light, her installations become living, breathing entities that shift in conversation with the environment.
Sustainability is at the core of Adrianaâs practice. She prioritizes the use of recycled and ethically sourced materials, aiming to create works that are ephemeral and leave minimal impact. Her inspiration is drawn from the textures, forms and palettes found in nature, with her work always striving to complement and honour the land.
