Happy Juneteenth, everyone!
Today we commemorate both the freedom won by our ancestors and the many contradictions of that apparent condition we’ve since been made to suffer.
On July 4, we will undertake the largest organized push to fulfill the promise at the core of our holiday.
If you’re in Texas during Juneteenth season, we’d love for you to join us in Seguin.
The ADOS Advocacy Foundation and the ADOS AF Texas Chapter invite members, supporters, families, and community members from across Texas — and beyond — to attend the Juneteenth Freedom Forum on Saturday, June 13 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
This will be a day centered on meaningful conversation, civic engagement, Black American history, and community connection in the state where Juneteenth began.
Whether you’ve been involved for years or are simply interested in learning more and connecting with others, you are welcome.

"The Georgia Chapter of the ADOS Advocacy Foundation expresses deep disappointment over the recent ruling by the Georgia Court of Appeals concerning the seizure of land tied to the Smith family and the historic Black community of Sparta. The chapter strongly disagrees with the outcome and views the decision as another painful example of how Black land ownership remains vulnerable to institutional disregard and unjust legal outcomes."
