Choose Me 💫 🤗 Digital Collage Zine a 4.1x5.8 spiraled notebook <3 so happy to finally officially release my second zine titled: Choose Me. 🫶🏽 Inspired by the way sewing & patches bind together to create something new. Reminiscent of how practicing self-love and self-acceptance allows us to feel new and present in our daily lives. Heaven Like👼 A Collection of Dreams my first collage zine. This has been something I’ve been working on since last year and so happy I get to share it now! 💓 My art continues to be inspired by the disorienting feeling between wake and sleep. This one specifically is focused one of my many sleep paralysis experiences. But one of my favorites because i dreamt of Heaven but simultaneously had a conversation with “the devil” & whatever attributes I tend to imagine when I think of outerwordly beings. Ones that have been shaped growing up in Catholic fate. I think of different realms & dimensions This also was the first time I experienced astral projecting and was able to watch myself sleep in my own bed. When I realized I was there I tried to hold myself and merged back as one. I felt powerful, to think I could be more than just a human. Available for purchase on my website🫶🏽

Picnic with the Past 🫆 Self Portrait Digital Collage when ever I work with my own self pictures I like to envision that there is an invisible energy field mending together; healing. A return to self. working as an early childhood teacher; I am continuously inspired by the passage of time, developmental growth & the meaning of all these human stages we experience. I wonder about how I was when I was a child; and how much the same & how much different I am now. the truth is I’ve never been this old; so how could little me experience what it is like to be 29 years old? We are all experiencing life for what it is now and it is always changing, always evolving into something else. I’ve been thinking about who I’ve become; also looking in as I recently started my Saturn’s return. I think younger me would be so proud & amazed by how lucky I am to live this life 🫀

I thought about how I love to wear crazy patterns together; I love the clashing of them. I like to think that’s representative of the best parts of myself. Many different parts of myself exist for good reason 🫶🏽 I allow myself to be multifaceted P.S my dress is thrifted from a lovely place in San Diego named Flashbacks!

Trying to put together a look book!! 1: most of everything i own is thrifted; I have thrifted my whole life since I was a child. 2: can never have enough patterns (I love to clash) 3. Pinks, reds & blues are my favorite 4. Contrast makes the world pop; so I do enjoy a vibrant eye! 5. I believe everything & anything I put together on my body is art. I am a mosaic of all the things I experience as a human being. 6. My goal is to spread joy, being authentically expressive allows others to do the same! 7. Fashion should be a conversational ; can I tell you that I found this skirt 10 years ago when I was in high school?! 8. Laugh at yourself again & again 9. Experiment with highs & lows ( heels & flats) 10. matching can be overrated (allow textures to move you)

It was a major change for us, it was a city we barely knew or visited and it took us away from any family we grew up so tightly with. Before our move my Dad would drive everyday from LA to Ontario and when he didn’t have enough gas to get home after his shift he loitered at the Donut Shop on Citrus and Valley, making friends with the owner and keeping watch for my dad as he slept in his car outside their shop. This place that we barely knew had already been a second home to him and I’ll forever be grateful for his sacrifices to get us here because this is home forever now. We love the Inland Empire and all the people in it, seeing our community shaken by the ICE raids and torn apart from their loved ones has been disheartening and heartbreaking. Technology Through New Eyes Digital Collage Final piece for my “Modern Women In Trying Times Series” ~ this alongside two other collage pieces will be on display at Millard Arts Center at the Pomona Fairplex alongside @claremonttemporary <3 Again I am so honored to be a part of such an amazing exhibition with other fantastic artists 🧑‍🎨 TONIGHT IS THE OPENING RECEPTION FROM 5-7 - my focus for these digital collages was to comment on the way women living now deal, explore and or rebel against current economical hardships. Whether that is investing in beauty, aesthetic, collectibles in order to find fulfillment and everyday joy. for me with this piece, I have background images of world war 2 planes, vintage gas machines (in contrast with how expensive gas is currently) and current trends. Self expression through makeup, clothing and even collecting kewpie dolls is important when I choose to tell the story of modern women & girls in an everyday setting.
