We had the honor of performing for @benvereen tonight. After the show I got to introduce him to @b_zelez — I said, “That’s my husband.” Ben asked what it felt like when Blake proposed, then joked, “You need to play that in Brass Band every night,” as if Blake had just asked me to marry him. It was a moment I’ll cherish forever: an acting note from Ben Vereen with Blake. Sweet Charity is my favorite show of all time — I wore out the VHS watching Shirley MacLaine & Ben over and over. I’m so grateful to get to perform “I’m A Brass Band” in the show every night & to have performed it for him left me speechless. A living legend. Thank you, @nicole_caroselli , for capturing this moment — you’re the best.

Featuring inspired reconstructions from musicals such as West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Pippin, Singin’ in the Rain, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, and more, this joyous celebration brings to life the work of choreographers like Bob Fosse, Jerome Robbins, Gene Kelly, Michael Bennett, Susan Stroman, Billy Wilson, and others. Experience the steps and spirit that have defined generations of Broadway dance.
GOTTA DANCE will play the Theatre at St. Jean’s, 150 East 76th Street, in New York City.
