Ryan and Dom absolutely give my beloved Ferry and Leo a run for their money to take the top spot. Ryan and Dom have such a complicated history! Shadows Never Lie is mostly from Ryan's POV, and let me tell you, my heart broke for him multiple times–sometimes due to Dom and most times due to his brother, Max. I don't just mean "Aww, that's so sad." I mean "If these were real people, I would punch them in the throat while crying before sweeping Ryan into a protective bear hug, and then I might just run back real quick and kick Max directly in the bal*s as we walk away." Sue me. Shadows Never Leave finishes us off with the angsty, hard-earned HEA that the MCs–and we–deserve, plus the exceptional level of groveling that I feel Ryan, in particular, deserves. I love getting to see the character growth in the MCs, especially Dominic. He took the words that Ryan flung at him in haste seriously, and getting to see things from his point of view more in this book is perfection. Just... have Kleenex. That's my overall advice.
