the scenes inbetween the fun.
it’s been an interesting year of dabbling in the world of “stability”. 5 days/40 hours are now spent inside tin walls and not amongst the mountain mansions & alpine lakes that have been replaced with my 401k being matched & health care.
in this time of transition, i have been so grateful for friends that have been cultivated during what now seems like a past life. together, we try our best to hold onto those bits of history & do our darn best to fit it into the present. post-shift trailhead parking lot nights, a loss of touch with snowpack conditions, and a little less muscle definition in our quads all make the climbs a bit harder but still just as worthwhile.
