I put 23 of my friends in a tent for 10 minutes and told them to do nothing and took some photos of them getting bored. I got lots of very silly results. Photography is so fun. From my project for our @aburridisimes exposition at @e66_______ ‘I Will Bore Myself to Either Death or Self Illumination’ in February — I constructed an ephemeral space that encourages it’s occupant to be bored. I suspended a light, a soft box, and my camera from the top of the space and invited 23 participants to spend 10 minutes alone and do nothing. I took an image every minute on the minute. During the exhibition, the space served as an interactive installation where each viewer could enter in order to challenge their own attention and relationship with boredom.
