Hello! 🗯️ My solo show, Mood Ring - Intro, will open next week at @bgalleria Turku. The contradictory relationship between items, girlhood, and utopy are in focus as a spatial introduction to Mood Ring, a long term project I’ve been working on for some time. You are warmly invited to join the opening, on Wednesday, June 4, from 6-8 pm. The exhibition will run from 05/06-29/06/2025.

Snapshots of my works in the Stara / Stare group show which opened at @gerdarsafn museum, Iceland on January 27th. The exhibition is open until April 19th.
It was an honour to have my work, An Obscure Self-Portrait (2020) selected as the main photo for the exhibition as well as a poster photo at @theicelandicphotofestival .
”Adele’s photographs possess a mysterious vulnerability while they are also full of life, subtly surreal and dreamlike, so that we who look at them find ourselves wondering whether we are looking into another person’s subconscious. It is a privilege to get to take a peek. —
The photographs in this exhibition span the past 15 years and show parts of a visual archive of a lived life. What happened over that time?”
Thank you to friends, family, colleagues, curators @hallgerdurh , @brynjas and the rest of the wonderful exhibition team at @gerdarsafn for all help and support. It was lovely to show my works along the artists @jenny_rova , @sadieicc , @dyrfinnabenita , @jhengstromwork , @joikjartans , @michaelrichardtofficial and Kristinn G. Harðarson.
Happening next week in Iceland! Excited to have my works exhibited in a contemporary art museum abroad for the first time. Stare group show, where I will be showing a selection of classics among some new works will be open at Gerdarsafn Kopavogur Art Museum from 25.01.-19.04.2025.
On Sunday Jan 26 15:00-15:45, I will also have an artist talk with JH Engström whose books were one inspiration for my book Chicken-Legged Hunter Ladybug when I was an art student who rather followed feelings than photographic rules.

9 August – 1 September 2024
Photographic Gallery Hippolyte
”Koivuniemi, as a place, is a complete work of art that served both as an artist’s studio for their grandmother and as a summer home for a large family. It’s a living and adaptable installation in harmony with nature. Hyry and Toivanen have drawn inspiration from their artist grandmother’s unique and inventive ways of creating. Their work and artistic process have been guided by Salme’s humour, playfulness, use of colours and materials, and hands- on approach. Salme did not care about others’ opinions or how things were supposed to be done, and the artists have aimed to preserve this freedom in their own work as well.”
