what does it feel like when your sense of self collides with the image reflected back by the world? โsincerelyโ is my attempt to explore this dissonance.
premise: a woman with nothing to offer stumbles into success.

to move faster
my mindโs not vibing

my lungs throw tantrums
for a moment
I convince them
this is a good idea
tears fall
dark thoughts demanding my attention
there is space
to make friends with

some things Iโve learned:
everyone lives in their own carefully curated delusions.
sartre and camus are my people.
existence is a string of absurd experiences we attach meaning to.
my sense of self depends on what I think others think of me.
sometimes I envy potatoes because theyโre just out there vibing without a worry in the world.
loving correctly is an art and should be treated like piano lessons.
authenticity is alignment between values and actions.
I still donโt know what a t-test is.
โsigns of the universeโ are really just brains vibing with patterns.
weโre all just walking contradictions and thatโs okay.
the more you know, the less you know.
but most importantly: breathe in, breathe out and let all the chicken poop go (random guy in mullum et al., 2023)
