Adele Dipasquale (Turin, Italy, 1994) identifies linguistic play as a subversive potential against the control of self-expression and communication. In the video installation Lose Voice Toolkit (2023–2025), children’s linguistic play opens up a space of freedom within the conventions and norms imposed by adult life, which by extension become those of society at large. Installed at the center of the exhibition space, the work invites viewers to enter a children’s tent. By recreating an environment analogous to that of childhood play, the tent becomes a concrete experience of game that, on a symbolic level, articulates a refusal of coercion and the normative force of social conventions. A group of children in the video narrate a story using a language composed of an invented alphabet. By elevating the individual to a shared experience, language becomes an identitarian and political arena where the political is performed and individual expression negotiated. IMAGINE A DEAD BLUE WHALE INSIDE THE POCKET OF A GIANT On view until 23.5.2026 Wed to Sat 12-7pm This research project is granted by @creativita_contemporanea of the Italian Ministry of Culture – #MIC under the #ItalianCouncil program (2025). Supported by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura (@iic_hongkong ), the Canadian Consulate and Stroom Den Haag (@stroom_den_haag ). In partnership with Fondazione Morra Greco (@fondazionemorragreco ), which will host off-site programs in Naples.

Parco Arte Vivente @pav_turin  invites to join their upcoming workshop Mediumistic Practices and Artistic Research Hosted by Adele Dipasqualem (@adele_dipasquale ), this reading session includes various techniques such as creative reading, cut-up, and automatic writing chains will be applied. Through these practices, the workshop explores various texts written by feminist authors on the politics of voice production, on the disciplinary technologies of silence, and on forms of multilingualism and polyphony. By examining forms of writing that assert plurality, challenging the notion of authorship in favor of collective and relational practices, forms of homage and citation, and modes of writing that make space for a multiplicity of voices. 🌀Mediumistic Practices and Artistic Research 📍 PAV in Turin, Italy 🗓️ 18 April 2026 #reimagineeurope #newperspectivesforaction co-funded by #europeanunion

🚨 Glued & Screwed Edition 25

Curated with and around the work of visual artist and researcher Adele Dipasquale, this celebratory 25th edition of Glued & Screwed presents five films that continue last month’s theme of ‘Language and Heritage’. Alongside two works from Adele’s oeuvre, we’re honored to host an exclusive first viewing of footage that Adele shot over the summer in preparation for a new project titled ‘l’infestata’—a continuation of a commission of art in public spaces in small villages, produced by Fondazione Elpis in collaboration with Galleria Continua and Threes Productions, presented in occasion of Una Boccata d’Arte 2025. The sneak peek, ‘Notes for l’infestata’, features some beautifully poetic 16mm imagery filmed near the village of Roccacaramanico, nestled within the mountainous region of Abruzzo, in east-central Italy. Contextualizing her work are two films personally selected by Adele: the abstract experimental video piece ‘Mouth to Mouth’ (1975) by artist Theresa Hak Kyung Cha (KR), and the resolutely feminist work ‘I Hope I’m Loud When I’m Dead’ (2018) from seminal filmmaker Beatrice Gibson (UK). - ‘Mouth to Mouth’ — Theresa Hak Kyung Cha (KR | 1975 | 8 Minutes) - ‘Farfallino’ — Adele Dipasquale (NL | 2020 | 7 Minutes) - ‘Lose Voice Toolkit’ — Adele Dipasquale (IT/NL | 2024 | 18 Minutes) - ‘Notes for L’infestata’ — Adele Dipasquale (IT/NL | 10 Minutes) - ‘I Hope I’m Loud When I’m Dead’ — Beatrice Gibson (UK | 2018 | 20 Minutes)

l'infestata 29.06-29.09.25 Roccacaramanico, IT curated by @andrea.c.stile for @unaboccatadarte @fondazioneelpis "𝑙'𝑖𝑛𝑓𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑎 draws inspiration from the tradition of mountain bivouac points typical of the highlands. The mountainous areas in the Majella Park are marked by a past of brigandage and even the stones seem to preserve its memory: known as the 'Tavole dei Briganti' (Brigands’ Tables), they are slabs engraved with messages of revolt and memory, but also hidden feasting spots and shelters. The artist gathers these suggestions to create a series of wooden structures to welcome those who will inhabit or hike through the village during summer. The surfaces of these beds and benches are inscribed with writings, notes, and phrases, becoming 'speaking structures': silent presences that will haunt the area around the abandoned old cemetery and the dreams of those who will rest there during the summer. — Andrea Croce" Thanks to the living and non-living community of Roccacaramanico, most alive ghost town, in particular to Andrea, Maria Grazia and @andrea.204 . “[…]a person wakes up covered in sweat, high on fever, with something inside they are not sure they have consented to. A cathedral becomes a throat canal leading to an underground body, a chamber of resonance for an outside presence. A body without a voice—the mineralized voice of Echo, turned into the natural phenomenon of rocks and stones. And a voice without a body—the silenced voice of the Mermaid, constrained from a powerful bird shriek into the mute bubbles of a fish. Wings transformed into fish scales cover the roofs in the city of Luxembourg.” In these dark times, I was lucky enough to have spent the past year in the company of the softest brood with @iuliaionesi , @akinathais and @jules_maillot at @casino_display Artistic Research Lab. Between Luxembourg and Strasbourg, talking, listening, reading, recording, writing, singing, tasting and thinking together around echoes, stones, fish, birds, mermaids, prying ears, cicadas, unruly mouths, fingers and lists with the generous research and writing guidance of @alicetwemlow . None of this would have happened if not for the materialized vision of Charles Rouleau and the work of @filipam.lima , Chloé and the entire team of @casinoluxembourg . Soon, a book and a casette will be published. 1.-4.
