My kids call this the “Swing Room”! I wanted to create a space for them to move their bodies and use their imagination! 👣✨🌈This was a great project, a tiny unfinished space in our attic just tall enough for kiddos.
Here’s what I did to this unfinished space:
🍬insulation install an drywall
🍬air conditioning install
🍬fresh paint
🍬party lights
🍬 360° swivel sensory swings
🍬cubbies for reading and stuffies
The result is just what I dreamt! ☁️ 🥰 Music blaring, bodies moving, brains active and lots of laughter.

@southbay_sk8kids is back with a brand new look and space right in Hawthorne! 🌟 We took some time this past year to focus on our family & afterschool programming, and now we are ready full force to open back up our doors. Our new shop is called THE SKATE SPOT, basically the grown up version of Southbay Sk8kids, serving lessons, shop & community.
We are ‘softly’ open now - offering lessons in our brand new Hawthorne space! The skatepark is a completely custom build to serve your skate needs. If you’re a friend or always wanted to go to Sk8kids we’re exited to see you! All ages & levels welcome, so drop us a message or give us a ring so we can get you on the schedule! 📧 📞
We’re still working on bringing in the best of the best products - decks, completes, helmets, pads & all the skate accessories! So just lessons for now, and stay tuned for the official shop opening.

Had a great family trip to the #sequoianationalpark🌲 ! Lake swimming, hiking, kayaking, cave exploring and river cold plunges! Definitely took a huge nap when we got back. #familyadventures
