A few weeks ago I pulled over for a quick lunch in the van at a trailhead in #grosemornenationalpark #tablelands. This guy showed up and decided to crash the party! If you haven’t already, I’d start planning to #visitnewfoundlandandlabrador when it’s safe to do so. It’s definitely worth the trip!

These days I've had a lot of time to reflect on how lucky I truly am. I am lucky and grateful to have a family and friends that support me, and I am lucky for my health.
I may have lost a lot of my mobility but I am grateful that I have access to the healthcare I need and that I have people who care for me. I am lucky that I can pursue my dreams and that I can design my own life. I am grateful for the places I get to live and the people I meet along the way. I am grateful for sunsets.
I am grateful to say that one year later, I have recovered.

After a very long drive from Ontario to Newfoundland in the new van during the middle of this pandemic, I was so happy to have a clear first night back on the rock. I spent hours sitting by the ocean staring at the sky counting my lucky stars for my health and the beautiful weather.

Woodland caribou are native to Newfoundland and Labrador and can be seen all over the country. Did you know that both sexes can have antlers? Although the Avalon Herd recently experienced a major reduction, these beautiful animals are definitely worth seeking out #caribouofnewfoundland .
