Alrighty!! Winding down on 2025 and all I can say is YAWEH be praised.
Managed to reel together some highlights but honestly the blessings have been immense despite the challenges. I canât fit all that into a short reel. Itâs definitely not the worst year Iâve experienced, but I was able to sit with my emotions more - which in itself is growth - so itâs been a self-awareness kind of year.
Iâm just so grateful for my family and friends. Iâm grateful for the opportunity to rejoice with those rejoicing and be compassionate. My goal is to do more of that in 2026.

Itâs the most wonderful time of the year đđđĽ°
One year on, and the journey continues.
A Danfo Christmas premiered last year, capturing the chaos and pressure of going home for the holidays.
Seen it before or just getting on board, the danfo is still moving.
#ADanfoChristmas directed by @sebastianukwa Still streaming on Prime Video. Go watch it now.

So another thing that kept me up last night đ
There have been a few public lawsuits across the music and movie industry in Nigeria and globally. More men are publicly stating that theyâve been abused or exploited by women in power. While I am not for a man abusing a woman - whether a colleague, wife or stranger, I am not for vice versa. Abuse of a person or the legal system is unjust.
One of the key lawsuits Iâve been following is IEWU. Iâm particularly invested because I read the book before I learnt of the movie release. And I do not recommend the book, it has certain themes I wasnât pre-warned about and had to flip through all the time. But credit to the writer - it was an intense read.
However, I was excited for the movie because my favourite telenovella actor was going to be in it. Didnât care much for his costar because there was no significant movie of hers I had watched. But I did see the media disapproval of her wardrobe. Things took an even more shocking turn when the complaints and lawsuits started flying. I was disappointed and naturally thought what a shame that a man will do this.
The trigger that men are hypocrites was already on my mind till we started to see that the story wasnât entirely true. In fact, Iâve now seen for myself the saying that âlawyers are liarsâ and âdo not believe the mediaâ rings true. Although it may contain a kernel of truth, it has been selectively shaped to serve the storytellerâs narrative
So Iâve scripted my own story. đ
Shoutout to my mom who proofreads my work. My husband who doesnât give a damn but still listens to my gist. My big sis Yinka A who is the only one keeping tabs on me regarding this đ
My heart breaks for the killings in the North and Iâm not going to pretend like I can fully comprehend it.
Last night I could barely fall asleep, and my mind wandered back to the first script I ever wrote that was made a feature film. Mr @enengchris trusted and helped me and Iâll always appreciate him for that. For me, it goes to show that this is not a problem that started today. I hope Iâm allowed to share that it was not even unsafe to shoot this film in the North at the time.
Weâve been praying. As Christians, we choose to love our enemies and those who persecute us, but that doesnât take away the heartbreak or the anger. And Iâm sure God feels the pain even more deeply than we do.
What upsets me even more is seeing leaders who are more concerned with saving face than showing real care. Leaders who seem focused on appearances or the power they can gather rather than the people theyâre supposed to serve. God did not call us to take up arms. If he did, we should have heard a different story regarding the persecuted churches in Acts. But we can raise our most powerful weapon, OUR VOICES - until it makes sore the ears of those who can make a change but have chosen not to, until God can do His work on the hearts of those who persecute like they did Jesus. Until we see loved ones returned to their families. Until we have peace.
