Air Fryer Salmon Bites 🍣 Ingredients * Salmon fillet (about 2 lb / 900 g, skin on or removed) * 2 tablespoons sour cream or plain Greek yogurt * 1 tablespoon Japanese mayonnaise (regular mayo works too) * 1 tablespoon sriracha hot sauce @melindasfoods * 1 tablespoon rice vinegar * 1 teaspoon chili oil * 1½ tablespoons Cajun or Old Bay seasoning @addicted_fishing * Juice of ½ lemon * 2 teaspoons olive oil or avocado oil * Chopped chives or parsley, for garnish (optional)� Directions Prep the Salmon: First, decide whether to keep the skin on or remove it—leaving it on adds extra texture once air fried. Next, slice the salmon into 1½-inch-wide strips, then cut each strip into even cubes roughly 1½ by 1½ inches to ensure consistent cooking. Season the Salmon Bites: Once cubed, transfer the salmon pieces to a large mixing bowl. Then, drizzle the olive oil over the top and gently toss until all sides are evenly coated. After that, sprinkle the Cajun seasoning over the salmon and mix again, making sure each bite is well seasoned. If needed, lightly touch up any pieces before air frying. Air Fry Until Crispy and Tender: Meanwhile, preheat your air fryer to 400°F (205°C). When ready, arrange the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F (205°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway if needed, until the edges are lightly crisp and the salmon is cooked through but still juicy. Make the Bang Bang Sauce: While the salmon cooks, it’s the perfect time to prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, combine the sour cream or Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, sriracha, rice vinegar, chili oil, and fresh lemon juice. Then, mix thoroughly until smooth and creamy, and set aside until ready to serve. Finish and Serve: Finally, carefully remove the salmon bites from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving plate. Drizzle or spoon the Bang Bang sauce generously over the top, then garnish with freshly chopped chives or parsley if desired.
