Nonsense Curry X Huts and looms
As a girl now woman, I have heeded and absorbed the figures of women around me, on what it means to nurture. It's an innate Instinct that isn't necessarily fastened to bearing children. It's an action that enacts itself so naturally, so seamlessly with selflessness through caring, food, touch, emotions and love.
Within my own life, I often see similarities of my mother in myself. Chipped nails from chopping, cleaving and cubing to feed her family, arid palms from the devoid notion of self care, hardened feet from an ambulant lifestyle, heavily laden bags of groceries and provisions, and a self sufficient nature of getting things done. The way I wrap my apron, the mental and emotional strain of being wanted, the power of prayer, maintaining the peace, knowing your needs are as important but sacrificing them for a fuller life of others.
