In Boquete, Panama, coffee is spoken of with quiet reverence, always returning to the land that makes every harvest possible. For Marcus Jovanny Duran of @adauracoffee , this belief is foundational.
A third-generation producer, Marcus’s grandparents, Adalberto and Aura Rosas, taught him that the true master of coffee is the terroir itself. It is a lesson that continues to shape his work today, alongside the steady leadership of farm head Edwin Rosas, who supports the estate’s evolving processing methods.
From Dry Fermented Naturals — where cherries are dried before extended fermentation — to Cascara-Infused Anaerobic fermentations, where pulped cherries are sealed with cascara to deepen expression, each approach is designed to reveal a coffee’s connection to place.
That dedication has earned remarkable recognition. In 2024, Adaura claimed 1st place in the Geisha Washed category with their winning lot “Kaizen” scoring an exceptional 95.50 points at Best of Panama, followed by another strong placement in Geisha Natural category with a lot named “Absolu”, a release well loved by our friends.
This collection offers a glimpse into how their innovations refine already exceptional coffees. The Geisha Washed JER DRD opens with jasmine and white tea, unfolding into honeydew and papaya. The Catuai Natural carries deeper fruit tones of blueberry and dark plum, brightened by mango and red grape. Completing the set, the Geisha Washed Peaberry reveals delicate notes of coffee flower and floral honey, layered with papaya, pear, and clementine.
