Adam Willis has worked for acts such as King Krule, Steve Mason, Wolfmother, Lord Huron, Parquet Courts, among many others. (Brother) Willis’ videos have a distinct nostalgic and bizarre aesthetic which is achieved through a combination of VHS footage, practical effects, creative cosmetics and smart casting choices. We love his fun, humorous approach and we think it’s what fuels the originality of his videos. Check out his work on today’s episode of Director ID!

One for the grid for my latest (6th) video in a 16 year long (😳) collaboration with my pal @fruit_bats for his wonderful new album. I’m grateful for Eric’s openness and enthusiasm as a collaborator. I’ve been obsessed with the concept of creative inspiration and as Eric told me a bit of background of the song the concept of looking back at the creation of your own patterns and transposing that to the frustrations of the creative process and our inability to shake our repeated obsessions; I pitched the idea of Eric as a pretentiously serious fine artist obsessed by circles.
Naturally most all of the circular objects featured onscreen are my own and speak to my OWN obsessions and the tendency to fall into the pit of our own making. 🕳️ Some fave moments and key inspo above.

FOUR is (also) a magic number. There just aren’t words and definitely not 15 select images to properly commemorate the gift of The Glastonbury25 Reset. YET it also feels necessary to testify to the grid to commemorate my gratitude and joy from what’s now been 4 years in a row of life-altering, soul-nourishing trips to the Vale of Avalon since I know the future is not promised and the present is brief.
I’m eternally grateful to the @amateurismcollective for bringing me into their extended family. We have truly found a beloved new family at a significant and unexpected point in our lives. I feel so blessed to be included in this Kru and honored to bring music to the sunburned and exhausted backstage passersby.
