Selfish inbetweens is a song that struggles with the after math of a decision and navigating the messy feelings of never truly knowing if you made the right one.
Itās hard to find peace when your mind wants to know the outcomes of every path presented to you ā to want to experience everything all at once. This song was part of my journey to owning my choices and creating space to continuously learn and grow from them instead of weighing me down.
I had my last drink on August 6th, 2021. When I came out of the blur that my life had become I realized that music was my personal purpose to be here; alive. I wrote āhead upā and āhappenstanceā early on in this journey. To all of you who have heard āhead upā and enjoyed it. THANK YOU! And thank you to my amazing band who I couldnāt imagine releasing these songs without. Such an insanely talented group of humans. āhappenstanceā is the next stepā¦ itās a song debating if everything happens for a reasonā¦ if itās mapped in the starsā¦ or is it all planned for us.
